KDVR first went
on the air on August 10, 1983, as the first television
station in Denver to sign on in over 30 years, and was
the first UHF television station in the state of
Colorado. In fact, Denver was the market that went the
longest amount of time without getting a new TV station.
KDVR started off as a locally owned station, running a
lineup of cartoons, old sitcoms, drama shows, movies,
and religious programming.
KDVR offers prime time programming
from Fox; sports programming; talk, reality, and court
shows; sitcoms; and nearly 30 hours of local news a
week.
